Description

The Boston College department of philosophy invites applications for the Frederick J. Adelmann, SJ, Chair in Philosophy. We seek a distinguished scholar with a record of teaching and publication in Contemporary Continental Philosophy, as well as at least one other area (historical or topical). 

Qualifications

AOS may include, e.g., critical theory, hermeneutics, and/or phenomenology. AOC may include one or more of, e.g., Ancient Greek philosophy, Medieval Philosophy, Modern philosophy, philosophy of mind, and moral philosophy. Duties include research, graduate and undergraduate teaching (including occasional teaching in our university Core Curriculum), doctoral dissertation supervision, and service to the department.
